Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio, seeks a Paramedic to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department. This on-site, part-time role (12 hours per week) supports procedures, vital signs, IV initiation, and rapid response to emergent needs while upholding professional standards.

You will work with the healthcare team to ensure safety and efficiency, participate in training and performance improvement, and help maintain sterile fields and care areas according to policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Paramedic Training Program.
• EMT-P licensed paramedic with current certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Two years of field experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across the lifespan by obtaining vital signs and initiating IVs.
• Assist with procedures, wound care, splinting, and preparation of sterile fields.
• Transport patients, restock supplies, and maintain care areas.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members in a culturally appropriate manner.
• Participate in training, performance improvement activities, and adherence to policies.
• Onsite role in the Emergency Department with safe, efficient care delivery.
