Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to support the Emergency Department under the Paramedic Education Department. Under the direct supervision of the Staff RN, this role performs select nursing-related activities, responds to code assists, and utilizes prescribed equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include patient care, EKG and CPR, operating the Clinical Information System, and maintaining EMS equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• ACLS, BLS, EMTP and PALS certifications preferred.
• Emergency Department experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, monitors patients, assists with ED admissions and transfers.
• Maintains and uses Clinical Information System for orders and data entry.
• Locates, cleans, and prepares EMS equipment; restocks supplies.
