Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Paramedic/Transport professional for the Freestanding ED - Perdido area. This full-time mid-shift position is located in Perdido / Pensacola, FL.

You will identify and stabilize ill or injured patients under physician and RN direction, initiate interventions per transport protocols, monitor patient condition and educate families. A strong focus on equipment safety and collaboration with the transport team.

Qualifications

• ALS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire date or transfer date.
• Paramedic credential from IBSC or Florida EMS prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• One or more of the following required:




• Paramedic specializing in Flight credentialed from the International Board of Specialty Certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


• Paramedic credentialed from the Florida Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
