Paramedic Services of Illinois is seeking a Paramedic to respond to emergency calls, provide medical care, and ensure patient safety. The role requires an active IDPH paramedic license, a firefighter certification, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. You will maintain records and participate in ongoing education to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Active Paramedic License (IDPH) is required.
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification required.
• Current/Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Pass pre-employment testing (Fit for Duty, Drug Screen, Agility/Lifting).
• Continuing education and licensure requirements must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient needs.
• Administer medical treatment per protocols.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare professionals and responders.
• Maintain accurate transport and equipment documentation.
• Comply with continuing education and licensure requirements.
