You will perform clinical interventions, document patient care, and support ongoing training and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current/Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of Paramedic program and Illinois DOH license.
• Ability to complete continuing education and testing.
• State of Illinois Firefighter Certifications (for Firefighter applicants).
• Successful completion of a professional and criminal background check.
• Pass pre-employment testing including a Fit for Duty Physical, Drug Screening, Agility and Lifting Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patients.
• Administer appropriate medical treatment per protocols.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare professionals and responders.
• Maintain accurate transport and equipment documentation.
• Demonstrate compliance with licensing and continuing education requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment and report issues.
• Participate in public safety trainings and education activities.
• Operate firefighting and rescue equipment as needed.
• Preserve evidence at fire scenes and perform rescue operations.
