Qualifications

• Paramedic license in Illinois is required.
• Illinois Driver’s License in good standing.
• Successful completion of a Paramedic program and ongoing licensure.
• Able to pass background checks and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient needs on scene.
• Administer appropriate medical care per protocols and guidelines.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in various environments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other responders.
• Maintain accurate transport and equipment documentation.
• Comply with continuing education and licensure requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment and report safety issues.
• Participate in public education, EMS training, and community activities.
• Operate firefighting and emergency medical equipment as trained.
• Assist in training fellow personnel and maintain supplies.
