Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Paramedic program and an active Illinois license.
• Ability to meet continuing education and licensure requirements.
• Background check clearance and driving record acceptable.
• State firefighter certifications may be preferred for some applicants.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient needs promptly.
• Administer appropriate medical treatment per protocols.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients with care.
• Communicate with patients, families, and responders for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate transport and equipment documentation.
• Participate in continuing education and meet licensure requirements.
