Paramedic Services of Illinois, Inc. is seeking a motivated Paramedic to respond to emergency calls, perform patient assessments, and deliver expert medical care in line with established protocols.

You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and other responders to ensure coordinated care and maintain accurate transport records. This role offers 24/48-hour shifts, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to contribute to community health and safety in Flossmoor, IL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current Illinois Driver’s License of proper classification.
• Successful completion of a Paramedic program and current Illinois IDPH license.
• Able to complete continuing education and testing requirements.
• State of Illinois Firefighter Certifications (for Firefighter applicants).
• Successful background check and pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess patients’ medical needs.
• Administer appropriate medical treatment per protocols.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in various environments.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare partners to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate transport and equipment documentation.
• Comply with continuing education/licensure requirements.
• Inspect vehicles/equipment and report safety issues.
• Participate in EMS/public safety education and training activities.
