Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Paramedic for PRN evening shifts at our Rockwall location. Bring your passion to our team and help deliver high-quality emergency care in a supportive environment.

The role requires EMT-P or LP license, ACLS/BCLS/PALS, and strong communication. Orientation at our Arlington corporate office and training 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire. Some weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required.
• 1 year paramedic EMS/fire department experience preferred.
• EMT-P certification required upon hire or LP license.
• ACLS within 90 days; BCLS prior to independent patient care; PALS within 90 days; CPI within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Responds to priorities regarding privacy, safety, and patient needs and engages family/caregivers.
• Performs technical skills reflecting population needs and safety standards.
• Delivers safe patient care under physician delegation and competency sign-off.
• Collaborates with health care team, uses resources wisely, and adapts to workload.

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: PRN "as needed" Evenings 11:00am-11:00pm, including some weekends

Training: Must be able to attend orientation and training at the corporate office in Arlington from 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire.

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
• 1 year experience paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred
• EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or
• LP - Licensed Paramedic required upon hire or
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.
