Job summary

Summa Health System, Green Campus, is seeking a Part-Time Paramedic for the Green Emergency to support ED physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists during triage, stabilization and transport. The role is 24 hours per week with a 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

shift. Requires completion of Ohio DPS EMS-paramedic education and current Ohio Paramedic certification; EMT experience within the past five years; BLS-HCP and ACLS; PALS may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Paramedic course approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS and current certification by the State of Ohio.
• One year of field EMT experience within the past five years.
• Current BLS-HCP and ACLS certification.
• PALS may be required depending on location.
• Other certifications and competencies as required by department.
• Ability to interact with patients with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to ED physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists in pre-hospital and Emergency Department triage, stabilization, and transport of patients.
