Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Paramedic for the South OKC Freestanding ED shift from Mid (1p) to 1a, FT. The role requires 2 years of direct ED experience, paramedic licensure in Oklahoma, and NREMT certification. Candidates must hold BLS, with PALS and ACLS due within 3 months.

The incumbent will work under supervision to provide advanced life support, gather patient information, perform procedures, and document care in collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Paramedic Training Program required.
• 2 years of hospital and/or pre-hospital experience providing immediate stabilization and transport of sick and injured patients required.
• Paramedic License (State of Oklahoma) and NREMT certification required.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care per OU Health policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with patient/family and healthcare team on treatment plans.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians and nurses.
• Monitor patient signs, symptoms, and vital signs.
• Assist nurse in delivering and documenting care and safety.
