Job summary

UVA Health in Virginia seeks an Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate or Paramedic to join its world-class academic medical center. The role requires licensure as an EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic, a valid driver’s license, and multiple certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with EVOC Level II or higher within 90 days of hire.

Education required is a High School Diploma or GED, with no required prior experience though advanced life support experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: No experience required; Advanced life support experience preferred.
• Licensure: Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate or Paramedic required. Paramedic preferred. Valid Driver’s License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS required. PALS and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Level II or higher required to operate a vehicle within 90 days of hire.
