Job summary

UVA Health in Virginia seeks an Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate or Paramedic to join its world-class academic medical center. The role requires licensure as an EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic, a valid driver’s license, and multiple certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with EVOC Level II or higher within 90 days of hire.

Education required is a High School Diploma or GED, with no required prior experience though advanced life support experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $21.10 - $32.71 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
