Job summary

UVA Health is seeking dedicated EMTs and AEMTs to deliver life-saving care across Central Virginia. Join the Medic V Team and support patient care, transport, and emergency medical services in a mission-driven environment.

Minimum requirements include Virginia EMT certification, valid driver’s license with at least 2 years driving, AHA BLS, and EVOC; pay ranges from $19.00 to $25.28 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required.

Experience: None

Licensure: Certified as a Health Emergency Medical Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Valid Driver’s License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. EVOC certification and be a released driver to transport patients required within 90 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps), and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $19.00 - $25.28 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
