Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a medical professional at its Fort Smith, AR center to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide essential medical care. You will interview donors, review histories, and liaise with the Center Medical Director on complex questions.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive results, and following SOPs while escalating critical medical situations to the Center Physician as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic program.
• Foreign medical graduates may require licensure or state certification to practice.
• One year of healthcare experience is preferred; plasma center experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability.
• Coordinate with the Center Medical Director on donor questions.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer as needed.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical cases to the Center Physician.
