Job summary

The Paramedic role provides both basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient’s injury or illness in accordance with state and local protocols.

This MaineHealth EMS base at Norway, ME operates 3 crews 24/7 with a 4th crew on 12-hour days, and works closely with MaineHealth Stephens Hospital ER staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of Paramedic Course required.
• Current state Paramedic license and valid driver’s license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• PIFT certification within six months of start date.
• NH Paramedic License required for NH locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care per state/local protocols.
