Job summary

MaineHealth Corporate |Emergency Medical Services in Northport, ME is seeking a Paramedic for per diem 16-hour and 24-hour shifts. This role provides basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care per state/local protocols.

Required: Paramedic course, state license, valid driver’s license, BLS, and PIFT within 6 months. NH locations require NH Paramedic License with NRP. Base pay in range $25.24–$34.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of Paramedic Course required.
• Current applicable state license as a Paramedic required. Valid Driver's License required. Current BLS certification required. PIFT Certification required within six months of start date.
• NH Paramedic License with National Registry Paramedic License required for NH locations.

Summary

The Paramedic role provides both basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with state and local protocols.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Completion of Paramedic Course required.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Paramedic required. Valid Driver's License required. Current BLS certification required. PIFT Certification required within six months of start date. Locations in New Hampshire require a NH Paramedic License with a National Registry Paramedic License.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $25.24to $34.16 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
