Job summary

AMR, Murray, KY, is hiring a Paramedic (Basic) for a full-time role. Hourly rates start at $21.50, DOE, with opportunities to provide both basic and advanced patient care on emergency calls.

You will assess calls, operate medical equipment, lead scenes, drive ambulances on 911 responses, and work with public safety teams. Minimum qualifications include a State Paramedic License, Driver’s License, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certs; healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test is required.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess call situations and determine best course of action with paramedic protocols.
• Utilize paramedic skills with equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and assurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:
