Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time position in the Benton, KY area. The role demands delivering advanced medical care on scene and leading on-scene teams during 911 responses.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state paramedic license and EMS certifications.
• Current BLS/ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass physical agility test and healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical care using paramedic equipment at scene.
• Lead the paramedic team on scene and manage unit operations.
• Respond to 911 calls and transport patients by ambulance.
• Coordinate with public safety and healthcare staff.
• Engage in community programs to support AMR image.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation todeterminethe best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferable in healthcare
