Job description

LHH is working with a great law firm who is seeking an experienced legal professional to provide immediate temporary support to its in-house legal team. This role will focus on contract drafting, contract review, legal request triage, and legal operations support during a team member's leave of absence. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level paralegal, contract specialist, or attorney who can quickly step in and contribute with minimal training.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents
• Support contract lifecycle management, including intake, routing, execution, storage, and retention
• Serve as a central point of intake for legal requests and triage matters appropriately
• Track legal matters, deadlines, documentation, and contract status
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and third-party vendors
• Assist with compliance initiatives, audits, policy administration, and regulatory reporting
• Provide general legal operations and administrative support to the legal department

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, contract specialist, legal operations professional, or attorney
• Strong contract drafting and contract review experience required
• Experience managing contracts through the full contract lifecycle
• Commercial contracting experience required
• Experience with commercial leases or real estate matters is highly preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and issue-spotting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn internal processes

Additional Details:

• On-site role in San Diego, CA
• Monday-Friday schedule; standard business hours with some flexibility
• Pay $43-$47 an hour
• Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.

Pay Details: $43.00 to $47.00 per hour
