Job summary

CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced Legal team, supporting a diverse government-focused portfolio and assisting with litigation and discovery workflows. You will perform complex legal research, draft memos, and help prepare motions and briefs for attorneys.

Ideal candidates will have a paralegal certificate or JD, 2+ years of litigation experience, and familiarity with Lexis/Westlaw and eDiscovery platforms.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate or JD or active ABA law school attendance.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience helpful.
• At least one year in automated litigation support and federal/state court familiarity.
• Excellent written and oral communication; knowledge of LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Hands-on experience with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging and related tools.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support reporting to OGC; assist LITB or IALB with tasks.
• Conduct legal research and prepare preliminary drafts of memos and correspondence.
• Assist in drafting motions, briefs, and exhibits; support litigation teams.
• Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs.
• Maintain case management records and track metrics in databases.
• Coordinate preservation notices and litigation holds; generate case reports.
