Job summary

SSP Law Co. LPA in Cincinnati's Hyde Park is seeking a motivated paralegal to support attorneys by drafting, organizing, researching, and keeping documentation accurate and ready for action.

You will handle discovery, draft and proofread legal documents, review materials, request records from third parties, coordinate with court reporters, and provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced, client-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or equivalent).
• 3+ years paralegal/legal assistant experience.
• Experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation, labor & employment, probate/estate administration, or commercial transactions.
• Notary commission (or ability within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Prepare discovery documents (interrogatories, document production requests).
• Draft/revise/proofread legal documents (letters, agreements, pleadings, motions).
• Review/organize discovery materials; maintain exhibits and exhibit binders.
• Request records/documents from third parties (e.g., Secretary of State).
• Draft/send correspondence; coordinate with court reporters, videographers, vendors.
• Research public records/laws (Lexis/internet searches/social media).
• Support client communication and document sharing folders (e.g., OneDrive).
• Administrative support: file/record documents, maintain files, scan/archive, calendars, onboarding paperwork, conflict checks, fee/engagement letters (as needed).
• Backup reception/admin: answer/direct main phone line, greet visitors, process mail/faxes/courier packets.
