Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Litigation practice group. Location preference is Pittsburgh, PA, but we will consider qualified applicants at other office locations.

Responsibilities include discovery, document production, case chronologies, and client communication. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in business litigation, a paralegal certificate or degree, and strong organizational and drafting skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of business litigation paralegal experience.
• College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Strong discovery knowledge and experience required.
• Familiarity with accessing and reviewing court dockets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized.
• Strong technical/database skills.
• Pre-trial and trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize medical records and deposition transcripts
• Prepare notices of depositions and deposition exhibits
• Communicate with experts and clients
• Create and maintain case chronologies
• Draft discovery requests and discovery responses
• Assist in drafting motions, responses, and exhibits
• Review and organize document productions with redactions
• Organize and manage document productions
• Maintain internal active case lists with deadlines
• Assist in researching case law
• Draft client update reports
• Collaborate with project assistants, clerks, and staff
• Multi-task, carry a large caseload, and work overtime
• Other duties as requested
