Job summary

DBL Law in Covington, Kentucky, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a supervising attorney and enhance efficiency across litigation matters. You will prepare client work for closings, hearings and trials, assist with discovery, file court documents in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, track time, organize files, assist with trial presentations, and seek additional work as needed.

Qualified candidates have a paralegal certification or degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and strong

Qualifications

• Certification or degree in Paralegal studies (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent legal support experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Nuance PDF Converter (bates stamping, redaction, editing, combining PDFs), iManage/WorkSite (Maintain client matter files, scanning and linking documents), Secure e-mail.
• Investigative mindset for strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Attention to detail and proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and content.
• Ability to prioritize and monitor deadlines while working on multiple matters, with a sense of ownership
• Collaboration and Teamwork
• Maintain firm and client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing client work for closings, hearings and trials.
• Assist with discovery, researching and other duties.
• Prioritize work and monitor deadlines.
• File and retrieve court documents electronically in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
• File and retrieve court documents for Bankruptcy courts.
• Track and bill time.
• Organize, index and track files; maintain files in order.
• Create, maintain, and retire files per attorney/client preference.
• Assist with managing client contacts, emails, and documents.
• Assist with Trial Presentations as needed.
• Seek out additional work after assigned tasks.
