Role Overview

Harris Beach Murtha seeks an Immigration Paralegal to assist with nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for corporate and individual clients. Ideal candidates will have:

• Legal experience, Paralegal experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree emphasizing writing or communication
• Experience in business and family-based immigration (preferred)
• Excellent writing and editing skills (please submit a writing sample)
• Proficiency with MS Office and legal research tools
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and flexibility

Responsibilities

• Prepare various visa petitions and supporting documentation
• Manage client accounts and provide comprehensive immigration services
• Maintain records of filings and activities
• Research immigration regulations and apply them to cases
• Draft detailed supporting arguments
• Input case data into management systems

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly rates vary by location, with a typical 40-hour weekly schedule. For example:

• Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, Syracuse: $26.45 - $33.66/hour
• Uniondale and White Plains: $28.85 - $36.06/hour

Applicants should be prepared to work in-office daily, with possible hybrid arrangements after training.
