We’re hiring an immigration paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities: • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Draft petitions, waivers, Naturalization, Business visas, U visa, Vawa, T-visas, asylum, TPS, DACA, removal defense paperwork with USCIS, US embasies and immigration courts. Qualifications: • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Talented communicator and writer • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred Compensation: $6 - $10 hourly
