National law firm has an immediate opening for an Immigration Paralegal (Immigration Case Coordinator). The successful candidate will have the freedom to work fully remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Immigration Case Coordinator at the Firm include but are not limited to:
- We are looking for an individual with a wide range of immigration experience to add to our Immigration group.
- Prepare and file non-immigrant applications/petitions (E, H, L, TN, O) and immigrant petitions (EB 1 to 3) and adjustment of status as well as immigrant visa applications. Prepare, file, and oversee labor certification filings (PERM). Be prepared to discuss the entire process during the interview.
- Thorough understanding of prevailing wage concepts and how to calculate corresponding wage levels. Be ready to explain the process during the interview.
- Familiarity with the concepts of Delitizer and Kazarian.
- Perform case intake, analyze case documents, and draft correspondence, memos, or summaries.
- Maintain positive contact with clients and observe confidentiality of client matters.
- Maintain and organize client documentation, monitor workload and production.
- Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding case filings.
- Monitor expiration dates and prepare case status reports for clients using case management systems.
- Support the Immigration Group with other tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or paralegal certification. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience.
- 3 to 4 years of experience preparing and filing non-immigrant applications/petitions.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in the preparation and oversight of labor certification (PERM) filings with the Department of Labor, with a thorough understanding of PERM processes.
- Previous experience with INSZoom is strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle a high volume caseload with attention to detail and productivity.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Outstanding case/project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently toward team goals.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
