Job summary

Hamilton Miller & Birthisel LLP in Florida seeks a Paralegal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in the Insurance Defense practice. You will help manage discovery, records requests, subpoenas, and case files, and assist with hearings, depositions, and trial materials.

You’ll maintain electronic and physical records, coordinate with medical providers, vendors, and records custodians, and monitor deadlines to keep cases on track.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Paralegal Assistant or similar legal support role.
• Experience supporting litigation matters and managing legal documents, records requests, and case files.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with discovery preparation and service of discovery documents.
• Monitor discovery deadlines and organize case files.
• Maintain electronic and physical case records.
• Coordinate with medical providers, vendors, and records custodians.
• Prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Draft routine correspondence and manage legal documents.
