About The Role

We are seeking an estate planning paralegal to support our estate planning and estate administration practices. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in North Carolina estate law, technical skills (Clio preferred), and the ability to take ownership of cases. Project oriented leadership experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate with a strong desire to grow.

Key Responsibilities


Estate Planning Paralegal:

• Project Management: Oversee and manage estate planning projects from intake to execution, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on schedule
• Draft & Prepare Documents - Wills, trusts, POAs, healthcare directives
• Client Intake & Communication - Gather information, maintain contact
• Funding & Asset Transfers - Assist with trust funding, beneficiary updates
• Execution & Notarization - Coordinate signings, ensure compliance
  
  
  

Estate Administration Paralegal:

• Probate & Court Filings - File petitions, inventories, accountings
• Asset Identification & Distribution - Locate, value, and transfer assets
• Creditor Claims & Estate Debts - Manage notifications and settlements
• Estate Tax & Accounting Assistance - Support tax prep and financial tracking
  
  
  

Requirements


What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of estate planning or administration experience (NC-specific preferred)
• Strong project management skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
• Project-oriented mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute estate planning matters efficiently
• Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a client-centered approach
• Proficiency in MicroSoft Office (Outlook, Work & Excel) and a legal software program (Clio or similar)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
