Levin Papantonio Law Firm in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Paralegal to support Attorneys throughout the litigation process. Local candidates or relocations to Pensacola are preferred.

The ideal candidate will assist with case work from start to finish, manage documents, and coordinate with the legal team. The position requires strong research, writing, and communication skills, with a focus on confidentiality and organization.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Paralegal/legal work experience (with or without formal education/certification).
• Ability to oversee procedures and manage workflow in a litigation team.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong research, writing and communication skills; proficient in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes and cases.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Attend trials as an assistant to attorneys.
• Organize exhibits, documents and evidence; prepare appendices.
• Assist in depositions and witness preparation and research.
• Coordinate client interviews and obtain case information.
• Manage department workflow and liaison with attorneys.
• Maintain client files; perform routine office duties.

Requirements

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (possible overtime, as needed).

• 1-3 years of Paralegal/legal work experience with or without formal legal education/certification.
• Ability to oversee procedures and manage work flow among a litigation team/department.

• Must have computer skills, specifically in Windows environment

Job Duties:

• Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions and legal codes.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery and many other documents needed in preparation for trial/court
• Attend trials acting as an assistant to the Attorney(s) during the court proceedings
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
• Assist in depositions, witness preparation and research
• Arrange/partake in client interviews while obtaining case-related information
• Manage a department/team of support staff, act as a liaison between the team & the Attorney(s)
• Maintain and manage client files
• Routine office duties
