Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented professional to perform comprehensive loan-level desktop reviews and manage a portfolio of foreclosure files. You will communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel while ensuring timely action and accurate documentation.

The role requires foreclosure knowledge, QA/QC familiarity, and strong problem-solving with an ability to work independently and within a team. This is a full-time position based in Minnesota with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control knowledge preferred.
• 1 year experience in handling foreclosures.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately.
• Communicate with the courts, clients and opposing counsel.
• Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations.
• Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations.
• Draft and record legal documents.
• Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure and collections requirements (as applicable).

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Candidate should have at least one year of Law Firm experience handling foreclosures.
• Document preparation including but not limited to Notices of Sale and Deeds
• Experience operating in Loansphere/ BKFS/ICE
• Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
• Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law

Required Education and Training:

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
• 1 year experience in handling foreclosures
