Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law firm foreclosures experience.
• Document preparation including Notices of Sale and Deeds.
• Experience with mortgage-servicing, bankruptcy, or foreclosure case-management systems.
• Creative in problem-solving with initiative and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Minnesota residential-foreclosure procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases and prioritize work.
• Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, county recording offices, publishers, process servers, and other vendors.
• Manage a portfolio of active files and meet deadlines.
• Update internal systems with findings, documentation and recommendations.
• Draft and record legal documents under attorney supervision.
• Calendar and monitor deadlines across client, court, publication, recording, sale, redemption, bankruptcy and post-sale.
• Assist attorneys in maintaining compliance with bankruptcy, foreclosure and collections requirements.

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately
• Communicate with the courts, clients, opposing counsel, county recording offices, publishers, process servers, and other vendors, as applicable.
• Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations
• Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
• Draft and record legal documents under attorney supervision.
• Calendar and monitor applicable client, court, publication, recording, sale, redemption, bankruptcy, and post-sale deadlines.
• Assist attorneys in maintaining compliance with applicable local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure, and collections requirements. (as applicable)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Candidate should have at least one year of Law Firm experience handling foreclosures.
• Document preparation including but not limited to Notices of Sale and Deeds
• Experience operating in LoanSphere/BKFS/ICE or comparable mortgage-servicing, bankruptcy, or foreclosure case-management systems.
• Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
• Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law
• Familiarity with Minnesota residential-foreclosure procedures, including county recording practices, publication coordination, and post-sale/redemption tracking, preferred.

Required Education and Training

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
• 1 year experience in handling foreclosures
