Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Paralegal to support its legal, corporate and licensing teams. The role involves direct collaboration with in-house counsel and cross-functional work with project management, procurement, operations, HR and finance.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and has experience in fast-paced legal environments. Knowledge of construction industry or handling third-party auto/property claims and insurance matters is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration; or five years of prior work experience in a law firm or corporate law department
  • Paralegal certification required
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Support legal department in overseeing and assisting with litigation discovery process, claims and litigation reports
  • Research licensing regulations, compile licensing applications, monitor deadlines for compliance
  • Review and redline subcontractor and client contracts to support legal department and bid review teams

  • General administrative support, including data entry, phone support, meeting notices, webinars

Job description

Position Overview

Paralegal supports Pike’s legal, corporate, and licensing departments with a broad range of matters. The role works directly with in‑house counsel and collaborates with project management, procurement, operations, HR, and finance teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced in a fast‑paced legal environment. Experience in the construction industry and/or with handling third‑party auto and property claims, workers’ compensation claims, and insurance matters are a plus. The role will also support a variety of administrative duties.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support legal department in overseeing and assisting with litigation discovery process, claims and litigation reports and monitoring, reviewing loss runs, and large loss and erosion tracking.
  • Research licensing regulations, compile licensing applications, monitor deadlines for compliance.
  • Review and redline subcontractor and client contracts to support legal department and bid review teams.
  • Assist with organization of contracts database.
  • Organize and maintain licensing database.
  • General administrative support, including but not limited to, data entry, phone support, meeting notices, webinars, etc.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration; or
  • Five years of prior work experience in a law firm or corporate law department
  • Paralegal certification required
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

  • Demonstrated ability to roll‑up sleeves and work with team members in a hands‑on capacity.

Desired Qualifications
  • 2 or 4-year degree
  • Paralegal certification
  • 5 years’ experience with client and/or supplier/subcontractor contracts.
  • Proficient in contract standards and terminology.
