Paralegal Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to a growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience supporting legal matters involving real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
- Assist attorneys with case management, legal research, and document preparation.
- Support residential and commercial real estate transactions by preparing deeds, affidavits, closing documents, and other related legal documents.
- Review title commitments, surveys, and property records, and assist in resolving title issues.
- Coordinate real estate closings with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and real estate professionals.
- Prepare settlement statements and post-closing documentation, and ensure documents are recorded with the appropriate agencies.
- Maintain accurate client files, calendars, and case management systems.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative tasks.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government agencies, and third parties.
- Assist with additional legal and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience required.
- Experience supporting residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, including document preparation, title review, and closing coordination.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and office procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
