Job summary

Corsaut & Wayneland, LLP is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. The role is remote, with a possible hybrid arrangement for candidates near the greater Sacramento/Roseville area.

The ideal candidate will manage deadlines, draft pleadings, handle discovery, and assist with motion practice and trial preparation while maintaining client confidentiality and accurate timekeeping. Strong research and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong research and analytical problem-solving skills for evaluating legal, factual, and procedural information.
• Demonstrated command of litigation calendaring, deadlines, and court filing procedures.
• Proficiency in drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
• Excellent communication skills with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing litigation documents and deadlines.
• Familiarity with Lexis and Westlaw and their AI-assisted research features.
• Familiarity with Clio practice management software and accurate timekeeping and billing practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a remote environment.
• Meets California paralegal qualification requirements under Business and Professions Code 6450.

Compensation: $85,000-$130,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. The position is remote, with an option for a hybrid work arrangement for candidates located in the greater Sacramento/Roseville area.

The successful candidate will play an important role in managing active litigation matters, coordinating deadlines, preparing legal documents, and supporting case development through discovery, motion practice, and trial.

Qualifications:

• Strong research and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize legal, factual, and procedural information from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated command of litigation calendaring, deadline management, and applicable court filing procedures.
• Proficiency in document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external parties in a clear and professional manner.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in managing litigation documents and deadlines.
• Experience using legal research platforms, including Lexis and Westlaw, and familiarity with their AI-assisted research capabilities.
• Familiarity with Clio practice management software and proficiency in accurate, contemporaneous timekeeping and billing practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Meets the applicable California paralegal qualification requirements under Business and Professions Code section 6450.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a dispersed team and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
