Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at an Am Law 100 firm or a specialized litigation practice firm.
• Experience across all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial, and in preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, and hearings.
• Proficient with cite-checking and Bluebook rules.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and sound judgment under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in both leadership and support roles within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities.
• Implement case calendaring systems and organize and maintain case documents for the attorney team.
• Coordinate and oversee junior paralegals and support staff on large litigation matters and investigations, from discovery through trial or arbitration.
• Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Coordinate with courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, vendors, and outside counsel on trial and arbitration logistics.
• Lead discovery and witness preparation support efforts.
• Draft, review, and analyze legal documents and conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
• Mentor and train junior paralegals on firm and litigation procedures and best practices.
• Uphold high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity with sensitive firm and client information.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at an Am Law 100 firm or a specialized litigation practice firm.
• Experience across all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial, and in preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, and hearings.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining paper and electronic case file systems.
• Proficient with cite-checking and Bluebook rules.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and sound judgment under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in both leadership and support roles within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with e-filings and e-disclosure databases (e.g., Relativity, Nuix Discover); litigation support software (e.g., LiveNote, CaseMap) a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Available for overtime work and travel as needed.
• BS/BA from an accredited college required; paralegal certificate preferred.
