Job summary

Mount Vernon School District 320 Mount Baker Middle School in Mount Vernon, WA is hiring a Paraeducator for the Special Education Resource Room (Secondary). The role provides skilled, confidential classroom support to teachers and students, including IEP transition work and post-secondary planning.

Eligibility for SEBB benefits, leave, and retirement options are noted. 180-day work year, 6.5 hours per day, with a starting date immediate.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer skills.
• Experience with high school-aged students and/or special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• IEP Transition Support planning and preparation.
• Assist with transition IEP assessments and invitations.
• Support documentation for IEPs and re-evaluations; assist in scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
