Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a Paraeducator Level I to support instructional activities and student supervision in classrooms and learning environments. The role involves preparing materials, monitoring progress and behavior, and assisting certified staff, with a 5.50 hour day and a 181 day calendar.

This non-continuing position for the 2026-2027 school year includes non-exempt status and an hourly wage range of $29.61 to $33.52, with eligible SEBB benefits and retirement options available

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one of: associate degree or higher; 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits; completed an apprenticeship; PESB assessments.
• Experience or interest in supporting learning in an educational setting.
• Training with cultural, ethnic and language diversity.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with certificated staff in classrooms or other learning environments.
• Assists with instructional support and student supervision duties.
• Prepares educational materials and monitors students’ progress, behavior, and safety.
• Performs routine clerical tasks to support teachers and other district staff.
