Job summary

Colonial School District in Delaware is looking for Paraeducators to support the delivery of specialized instruction for students with disabilities. The role involves working under the direction of teachers to help implement Individualized Education Programs, ensuring students can make academic and behavioral progress.

Candidates must have a valid Paraprofessional Permit or an Associate's Degree, along with knowledge and skills in working with students with disabilities. The position offers a collaborative environment, focusing on the growth and learning of every student.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid Paraprofessional Permit or higher educational qualifications.
• Acceptable Criminal Background Report.
• Must be able to lift/move students using specialized techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support students in both in-person and remote learning environments.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Assist in the implementation of IEPs.

Skills

Knowledge and skills in working with students with disabilities

Ability to support students with physical needs

Proficient in Technology (Microsoft, Google Applications, etc.)

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Paraprofessional Permit or Associate's Degree
