Job summary

The Cromwell Public Schools are seeking a paraeducator for Woodside Intermediate School (grades 3-5) to join our team for the 1-year position ending at the close of the academic year. You will assist students with disabilities and collaborate with special and regular education teachers to support learning in various settings.

Position requires an Associates degree, 60 college credits, or a passing ParaPro assessment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree; 60 college credits; or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of students with disabilities.
• Support students in all aspects of their day and in diverse classroom settings under the direction of teachers.
• May include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skills instruction, and other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.

Job description

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for Paraeducator for Woodside Intermediate School (grades 3-5). This is a 1 year position that ends at the end of the academic school year. Compensation: $23.37 per hour; 30 hours per week: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm (6.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Sick and personal time, health benefits, eligible for a pension - see Paraeducator Contract for a complete list of benefits.
