Job summary

Cromwell Public Schools seeks a paraeducator for Cromwell High School. This is a 1-year position for 30 hours per week (7:45 am - 2:15 pm). The role involves supporting students with disabilities and working under the direction of teachers in diverse classrooms, possibly including therapy activities and field trips.

Responsibilities may include lifting, life-skill instruction, and other duties as assigned by the teacher or building principal. Strong commitment to student support is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Job description

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for Paraeducator for Cromwell High School. This is a 1 year position that ends at the end of the academic school year. The paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities. This involves supporting students in all aspects of their day and the ability to work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of the special/and or regular education teachers which may include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skill instruction, and all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.

Qualifications:

Compensation:

$23.37 per hour; 30 hours per week: 7:45 am - 2:15 pm (6.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Sick and personal time, health benefits, eligible for a pension - see Paraeducator Contract for a complete list of benefits.
