6-8 hour positions available! Under the supervision of an assigned administrator and direction of a credentialed staff member, assist in the instructional program for students in a variety of educational settings; provide instruction and support student growth, and be a positive role model to students in basic living skills, social interactions, and academic development. The incumbents in this classification assist in providing students with educational and behavioral support, which directly supports student learning.

Located in east San Diego County, the district is 66.3 square miles in size and serves elementary students in grades K-8, feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools, and 1 preschool).
