Job summary

Mt. View Elementary in the Shelton School District is hiring a Para Educator - Integrated Support for the 2026-2027 school year.

The role supports instruction and student IEP goals, supervises students, prepares materials, and assists with classroom management under the supervision of a teacher. Schedule is 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a temporary assignment potentially extending based on enrollment and funding.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework (72 quarter credits) or AA degree OR completion of the ETS ParaPro Assessment with a passing score.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a Federal background check.
• Ability to complete district training within the first year.
• Experience with students with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and supervise students under the teacher's direction.
• Prepare and organize classroom materials; support with IEP goals.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and classroom assistance; support behavior management.
