Job summary

Lake Washington School District is hiring a paraprofessional to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with varied needs. The role supports health care needs and daily living skills, and helps with classroom setup and supplies.

You may supervise students in library, classrooms, playgrounds, or bus loading areas, contributing to an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• An AA or higher degree, or two years of college credit (72 quarter hours).
• ParaPro Assessment score of 455+ or Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment score of 220+.
• Official documentation required upon hire and successful criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students at all levels.
• Assists with daily living and behavioral skills and supports students with special health care needs.
• Assists staff with classroom preparation, retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, playgrounds, or during bus loading/unloading.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate degree (AA) or higher

Two years of college credit (72 quarter hours)

ParaPro Assessment score 455 or higher

Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment score 220 or higher
