Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Shift Manager for our Paper Mill in a role that ensures safe operations, environmental compliance, quality assurance and productivity. The position acts as the on-shift management representative and coordinates with department managers and team leads.

Responsibilities include leadership, performance coaching, and delivering messages to senior management, with emphasis on nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• BS in pulp and paper, engineering, or equivalent work experience in the pulp and paper industry.
• Two years of applicable work experience in paper mill operations is required.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
• Written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Shift Manager will be the on-shift management representative to assure safe operations, environmental compliance, quality assurance, cost control and productivity.
• Provide leadership and coaching; communicate across shifts and departments.
• Support department managers and crew leaders; contribute to mill-wide initiatives and incentives.
