Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a full-time Chemical Engineer (Process Engineer or Process Controls Engineer) to support mill safety, operations, and continuous improvement across process areas. The role includes data analysis, project coordination, and technical troubleshooting within PCA’s paper mill environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in chemical, paper engineering, or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in process engineering or paper industry.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, and product safety expectations.
• Analyze production, process, quality, and cost data to identify trends and support decisions.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and outside resources for modifications and projects.
• Develop and maintain methods to track performance and identify cost savings.
• Improve planning, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
