Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Bag Machine Operator A to operate and maintain paper bag machinery, ensuring high quality output and adherence to safety standards. The role requires setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting the process with minimal supervision while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

The position involves a 12-hour shift schedule on a 2-2-3 cycle, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts and day/night rotation.
• Willing to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
• 3+ years of Machine Operator experience in paper bag manufacturing preferred.
• Familiar with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Must have basic tools (Allen wrench, wrench, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and HMI interfaces.
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate paper bag machinery to product specs.
• Maintain production quality and record production data.
• Inspect bags for defects and adjust equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with maintenance.
• Document production data and material usage.
• Uphold safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team and train new operators.
• Relieve teammates during breaks when needed.
