Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pantry, kitchen, storage, and food preparation areas.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
  • Organize and stock pantry supplies, food products, and inventory.
  • Receive, inspect, and store deliveries, ensuring proper handling and rotation.
  • Monitor pantry inventory levels and notify supervisors of low-stock items.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen leadership.
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and food waste and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Support kitchen and service teams during busy periods as needed.
  • Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors.

Job Summary:

The Pantry Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels within pantry, kitchen, and storage areas. This role supports culinary and food service operations by ensuring supplies are readily available, workspaces remain sanitary, and food safety standards are consistently upheld. The Pantry Porter plays a key role in helping the kitchen team operate efficiently and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pantry, kitchen, storage, and food preparation areas
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
  • Organize and stock pantry supplies, food products, and inventory according to established procedures
  • Receive, inspect, and store deliveries, ensuring products are handled and rotated properly
  • Monitor pantry inventory levels and notify supervisors of low-stock items
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen leadership
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and food waste while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
  • Support kitchen and service teams during busy operational periods as needed
  • Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
