Job summary

Comprehensive Community Action Program is seeking a part-time associate to support the food pantry operations in Cranston, RI. You will perform intake assessments, data entry, and scheduling while handling phone calls and client inquiries with a focus on accurate documentation and patient-centered service.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, Human Services experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AA preferred but not required.
• Human Services experience required.
• Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for retail pick-ups and maintaining food temperatures during transport.
• Assist Program Coordinator with daily food pantry operations.
• Provide customer assistance, complete intake assessments, data entry, schedule appointments, and manage stock and inventory.
• Answer multi-line phone system, take messages, and return voicemails.
• Maintain forms and paperwork for staff; file and schedule appointments.
• Stock and inventory food; perform other duties as assigned.
