Job summary

Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC is seeking an enthusiastic team member to prepare salads and cold items for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, and events. You will collaborate with our award-winning culinary team to deliver high-quality presentation and service for members and their guests.

Open shifts include mornings and evenings, with emphasis on food safety, teamwork, and exceptional guest experience in a club setting.

Qualifications

• Work with culinary team to create exemplary experience for members and their guests.
• Prepare all salad and cold items needed prior to service – wash and cut lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.
• Maintain product levels during service hours.
• Prepare and store salad dressings; set up and break down salad prep station.
• Demonstrate MPCC values in service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads and other cold items for service.
• Assist culinary team to ensure timely and accurate plating.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of salad prep area and equipment.
• Handle leftovers safely and follow portion and presentation standards.

Myers Park Country Club is looking to add enthusiastic members to our team! If you are interested in providing an exceptional experience by preparing food items for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special parties, come join the fun. In this role, you will get the opportunity to prepare salads and other cold food items, all while interacting with an award-winning team. We are looking for someone with open flexibility for both morning and evening shifts.

Requirements

• Work with the culinary team to create an exemplary experience for members and their guests
• Prepare all salad and cold items needed prior to service – wash and cut lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.
• Maintain product levels during service hours
• Prepare salad dressings
• Set-up, maintain, and/or break-down salad prep station
• Maintain proper operating condition and cleanliness of equipment
• Ensure that pantry area refrigerators, storage areas, and walk-ins remain clean and neat
• Cover, date, and neatly store re-usable leftover products
• Ensure that food products are used within time constraints
• Prepare and serve items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards
• Complete food requisitions to maintain proper inventory of necessary items
• Follow up with members and guests regarding additional selections that will enhance their overall experience
• Handle member requests personally and/or refer as appropriate
• Demonstrate MPCC values when providing service and teamwork

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
• Continuous repetitive motions
• Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment

Education and/or Experience

• Culinary experience is preferred
